Happy Birthday Alia Bhatt: Here's definitive proof that the actress is the fashion icon of the next generation

On the actress’ 26th birthday, we take a look at her most fashionable looks ever!

Alia Bhatt has come a long way. She made her mark on the country and the Bollywood industry when she debuted in Student Of The Year. Today, she turns a year older and celebrates her 26th birthday. The actress is not only known for her films though. Her incredible sense of style, beauty and grace has also been abundantly praised. She knows how to carry off looks and manages to look chic in everything from distressed denim to sarees. She is on top of the game and has outdone her contemporaries in almost all fields. Here’s why we think she will make for the perfect fashion icon for the next generation.

The petite actress looked red carpet worthy in this cherry red ruffled Gauri and Nainika gown. She channelled her inner dancing girl emoji and competed this look with her hair pulled back into a sleek bun, filled in brows, well-lined eyes and a red lip that matched her outfit. She looked absolutely mesmerising in this piece.

The actress knows how to keep up with the trends and manages to pull off any look with total ease. This Michael Kors dress looks simple yet classy on the actress. We love that she broke the monotony of white with sunshine yellow shoes, which instantly made her look more interesting.

She also seems to be a fan of single tone dressing. She suited up to promote her film Gully Boy, but brought in her own twist to the look – off shoulders! The outfit was flattering as it showed off her long neck and collarbones. She exuded confidence in this look.

Need more proof that the youngest Bhatt can rock single tone dressing? Take a look at her head-to-toe red outfit. Red sweater with scattered silver embellishments looked paired with red flared trousers made her look like the ultimate fashionista! Cat eye sunglasses were her accessory of choice, to complete this look.

From goody-two-shoes to badass, Bhatt knows how to look like she can also kick ass and mean business. Her blazer dress with a sparkly fuschia pink strip on her sleeves looked in Vogue. What stole the show though, was her thigh-high boots with stiletto heels that made her look sexy and smart.

If there is anybody who can pull off the ultimate boss-lady look, it is Alia. The Raazi actress carried off this preppy Moschino suit and looked suave yet stylish. She paired the white suit with red and black highlights with pointy-toe pumps, poker straight hair, filled-in brows and a nudey-pink lip.

Channelling her inner retro queen, the actress sported a polka dot one shoulder jumpsuit with a tie at the waist. She completed this look with transparent block heels, pulled back hair, filled in brows and minimal make-up

If you thought Alia looks exuberant only in western pieces, you thought wrong! She looked super pretty in a blush pink lehenga with floral motifs and an embellished blouse by Manish Malhotra. She accessoried this ethnic look with matching jhumkis, minimal make-up and loose curls.

She even opted for single-tone dressing when it came to ethnic wear – that’s how much she loves the trend! She opted for an ink blue Manish Malhotra sharara-saree to play bridesmaid to her friend, at the latter’s wedding. She completed this look with a pink maang tikka and matching choker neckpiece.

For another wedding event, Bhatt opted for a yellow and blue contrasting lehenga from Anita Dongre and carried an ivory potli and wore simple silver earrings. She looked absolutely radiant from head-to-toe.
